Referral Rewards for Town Star
TLDR: The “Give 100 Get 100” program is getting the axe, but everyone who joined the platform will receive 100 GALA, and everyone who referred them will receive 100 GALA in a one-time reward distribution.
A lot of you found a little something-something in your treasure chest today, and we would like to tell you why. As the Gala Games ecosystem continues to grow at a rapid pace, it is important for us to regularly evaluate our policies and make positive updates from which everyone can benefit. When we notice something that is not working as intended or that can be altered for better functionality, you can always be confident that we are ready and willing to make those changes.
It is in this spirit of self-evaluation that Gala Games is hereby announcing that we have removed the Give 100 GALA, Get 100 GALA new user referral program. There are several reasons for this change which are described below, as well as a juicy one-time reward to express our appreciation and apology that the details of the referral system were not clearer in the first place.
Reasons for the Change
Gala Games is Bigger than Town Star
This program has become known as a Gala Games referral system, but it has (almost exclusively) rewarded only those who have played Town Star and those who have referred players of Town Star.
It is not the intention of Gala Games to boost activity in a specific game, but rather to continue growing our ecosystem as a whole. We love Town Star. It is Gala Games’ first game and will always be one of our most popular games. But part of empowering gamers is giving them the freedom to decide which games they want to play, and we intend to have a wide selection for them to choose from.
Clarity is Key
Gala Games wants to make sure that our policies are always as clear as possible, especially regarding matters of rewards. There have been multiple issues surrounding the Give 100 GALA, Get 100 GALA system that have left some players feeling left out, or even worse, confused by the wording. This was never the intention of Gala Games, and we promise to be as straightforward and transparent as possible if and when we revisit a new referral reward system in the future.
Your Special Reward
Because we admit that many of these issues of confusion were our responsibility for not being more clear in the policy, Gala Games is happy to announce that we have given:
1. Everyone who signed up — 100 GALA
2. The player who referred them — 100 GALA
You’ll find this new GALA drop in your Treasure Chest, and from now on, neither the referrer nor the referee will receive 100 GALA after 3 days of playing Town Star.
Fountains will no longer be awarded.
The node referral system is not affected by this change.
