Gala Games Partners with Polygon!
As part of our mission to bring you the largest and most successful ecosystem of blockchain-based games that allow players to own their gaming experience and control the assets that they own, Gala Games is partnering with Polygon!
Formerly the Matic Network, Polygon is Ethereum’s Internet of Blockchains. The change in name represents a huge expansion of Polygon’s mission. As the Matic Network, they became known as the number one scaling solution for projects built on Ethereum that allowed faster and cheaper transactions, and that was only the beginning.
In 2020, when Ethereum network fees skyrocketed, many Ethereum-based games that had not yet established scaling solutions suffered. The Matic Network was there for these projects, offering them not only a lifeline in many cases to avoid total demise, but a massive solution that allowed them to realize their true potential for scaling as blockchain applications continue their march toward mainstream mass adoption.
As Matic buzz filled the ears and Twitter feeds of Ethereum enthusiasts everywhere, the company realized that their calling was larger even than becoming the best scaling solution in the industry. By expanding and rebranding to Polygon, the mission of the Matic Network became to connect them all by becoming a protocol and framework for every Ethereum-compatible blockchain network… The internet of blockchains.
Gala Games’ Polygon Plans
Working with Polygon will be an important piece to solving the crucial gas puzzle for Gala Games, alongside Flare and Binance Smart Chain. By partnering with Polygon, Gala Games will be able to become connected to the larger blockchain ecosystem in powerful new ways, so stay tuned for more detailed announcements in the coming weeks and months.
We are also thrilled to announce that Gala Games and Polygon will be working together to bring you a new game! While we are not able to currently share any more details about this upcoming project, we know you will love it! This game has not yet been mentioned or disclosed to the Gala community in any way, so keep your eyes open and ready for news as it comes!
